Had the great pleasure of meeting a fellow CA Aquapon, Andy from Santa Barbara. Got me to thinking we shouldn't be left out. There is a Florida and Colorado group so there has to be one from CA. Besides we can share links, ideas and suppliers

Hello all, I'm new here. Being a wannabe urban farmer, I've been really fascinated by aquaponics and I'm starting to very slowly put together a system. I live in Oakland and am wanting to learn as much as I can before I jump in with both feet. I found a 275 gallon container on CL and I'm trying to learn more about how to proceed. Any advice before I start geting in over my head?
Hey my names Angel and I've been researching self sustainable living practices for my family. I haven't started yet because I don't want to rush anything and I believe the wise man learns from others mistakes. The information here is great and I like how selfless and helpful everyone seems to be. I have a 300 gallon old hot tub that I want to use as my main fish tank. I still have a lot to learn though thanks for bringing like minds closer together.
dear californian aquaponics community
i am part of a aquaponics project / startup company out of switzerland (see some pictures on my profile), called UrbanFarmers (our website is still in german, however on our fb site you can get an impression what we are doing => facebook.com/UrbanFarmes). I would love to visit some systems during my vacation in california and of course would love to exchange a few thoughts about your and our project as well. I will be travelling through california during july.
i would love to meet some of you!
best regards from switzerland!
When I click on the map, it only shows me and just one other aquaponics member in Orange Co. I only started from last Nov. Thought there would be more people?

I dont know but I bet he would, he said he drives up to carlsbad once a week and would meet me with my order. I dont know if he comes up your way but sounded like he drives all over to get his fish. When I called him he answered and returned email.
