I don't order online very often at all.  Actually though the deep fryer element came from a fryer that my wife got on quibids.com.  It had a bad rheostat out of the box, but she only paid 4 bucks for it, so shipping back barely seemed worth it since I have a deep fryer already.  For the controller I am building, I use sparkfun.com, dealextreme.com and mouser or digikey.   I shopped locally for a stainless steel element, but could only find a 3500 watt which was more than I wanted.

Hi Averan: making a strawberry tower out of regular pbc with indented pockets for the plans "home made type" and fill it with sure to grow instead of hydroton , You are more familiar with this product than I, Question is: it will be more lighter and what about irrigation will have to be on a timer or can be run constantly. Your thought on this please. Thanks CJ

Welcome Averan,

Thanks for joining the Aquaponic Gardening community! I hope you find it a fun place to explore aquaponics. There is a real blend of experienced and new aquapons in this community, so please don’t hesitate to get in there and start asking questions. Everyone is quite happy to help out new members – no question is too basic.

Please add a photo of yourself and participate!

Thanks again for joining us, and I look forward to getting to know you.
