Well after all the work put fourth I'm sad to announce the school doesn't want to move forward with the program at this time. At least I was able to open their eyes to what can be done at the school.

I'm glad you put forth the work. You are right. their eyes have to have been open. at least a smidge and as for you you did it you succeeded because you did what you had to do. so no matter what you will always know that it wasn't you that stopped this wonderful thing from happening. you'll get this vision accomplished. I have a similar one. to make sure that people especially children know how to "fish" rather than to take hand out fish all their lives! This is real life you are impacting and inspiring people like me with. Congrats!

We will see.... I never fail just change direction  Thanks for your support.
That sounds like a good way to go, bummer the initial charge had been re-directed though.

This all came as a big shock to me because I was sure from our last meeting everyone was excited  to get this going I was willing to even start small and work from there. They even talked about expanding the program to outdoor raised bed gardening. I got an Email message this morning letting me know the change. They said they wanted to let me know in person but we had schedule conflicts.  I did let the cooperative know that the school had changed there mind and they emailed me back this afternoon letting me know how sorry they were and that they wanted me to come work with them on some other schools they were talking to.  We will see.... I never fail just change direction  Thanks for your support.

Keep a fire under their butt! Start a student A/P club. Pitch it to the PTA. Have kids write in and demand it. Don't give up so easily

Is it that they just don't want to spend their money for it?  Or they don't want to let it happen at all at this time?

If it's the money, perhaps another funding source would make it possible.  If the latter, well perhaps letting the idea percolate for a while will allow it to happen next season.

Keep at it :)

I'm on Plan G or something to get a system installed in my area.

Nick, I'm so very sorry to hear that!  How sad.  Good for you for at least giving it a shot.  Thanks for the update.
