Have you thought about preparing for a disaster? In the SF Bay we haven't had a Katrina, Haiti, Mid-West or Fukishima Japan level disaster in a while. Because of that we have become pretty…Continue

Anyone use Water Hyacinth as supplemental filtration? I'm thinking that if my grow bed is too small for the fish density I would add some water hyacinth to help keep the water clean. I can pull the…Continue

Hi chi, I'm a newbie and a fellow SF Bay Area. It's nice to know someone nearby who knows aquaponics!

I recently built an ibc tote system and now looking to change my gold fish to tilapia and catfish. Do you have any or know someone who might consider sharing some or selling some. I would greatly appreciate it!

Likewise, Chi. I know you're moving, but will you still be in Saratoga? I'll drop you a line when I head that way again. Or vise versa. 831-251-9211

Hey Chi!

I'm exploring the possibilities of aquaponics with community outreach in an urban food desert. I've attempted aquaponics a couple times, myself, without complete success. So for this venture I'm definitely looking to compensate somebody who has experience creating successful, thriving aquaponics systems.

Let me know if this sounds at all interesting to you. I'm only in the stage of exploring what resources are available to me, right now. So this would be many months in the future.

Thanks!

Trying to tweak my bell siphon. It ether takes long to start the siphon or long to break it. But it works.

The big cray is still going strong. One batch of babies (2 that I pulled out) didn't make the trip in other tanks. I am still trying to get a handle on my crustaceans.
