Thank you for your friendship Steve! I will look forward to working with you and the other dedicated and obviously very talented folks on the site.

Couple quick comments RE Feed? Watch out for corn. It is probably the major reason Tilapia gest knocked for having imbalances in their Omega 6:3 ratios. Ted Slanker has done a lot of good work on this and other feed issues and I would look up a URL for you but I just managed to...erase...the first note to you I was about to send so I will leave it up to you and Google at this point. Duckweed seems great but growing it in tanks stocked w/fish has for us been impossible and most people will not have space or resources to dedicate a DW growing area.

Make sure to add Moringa to your list of feed ingredients and also to have on your property in CR if you do not have it already. Life changing and supportive plant which can provide 10-15% of a very balanced fish diet and even more so for other animals...and humans. A leaf spray fertilizer made from its leaves is reported to increase crop production by 25-30% when applied every 2 weeks. I will let you know in a couple of months. They are doing a lot of great groundbreaking work with the Moringa in Nicaragua for the past 10 years. The BSF is also great although for now we are limited to about 7.5% of total diet because of the chitin in the larvae´s "skin". Earthworms are worth the effort and good for at least 20% of your diet goal if you have the space to grow them. Like with the Moringa and BSF, the side benefits with the earthworms are so remarkable they make growing them for your fish a no brainer.

Amazing photos Steve! I want to come back ASAP to study them in detail as soon as I get a break today. Right now though I am on Nematode patrol for the hectare of Chile Habanero we are getting ready to plant. FYI, we will be doing all organic on our crops using mainly Neem and Karanja-based oils for pesticdes and the solids from our Tilapia tanks for fertilizer on the ground until our earthworm operation is producing sufficent humus and worm tea to add in. I have high hopes for the Moringa leaf spray as a fertilizer as well which since it is organic and non-oily may have some tremendous potential in Aquaponic environments as well!

Thanks again and best of success in all of your endeavors Steve

Saludos Cordiales to one and all
