HEy MArk! Welcome. Your system looks great and I'm curious about your trout. Where do you live and how cold is your water?

Cheers,

Juan

Hello Mark,

Yes we live close to La Garita. Our AP system started to work around 2 months, I posted some pics. But right now the vegetables are really gorgeous, zucchini and cucumber are behaving as well as the rest of the vegetables. Today we were planning to take more pics so we will see them soon. We have 4 half barrels working, and the other 4 are working with quartilla the same volcanic rock that you are using in your system. We already met Farmer Brown we went to visit his project down in Turrubares. All the projects are kind of different but the important thing is that Aquaponics works and its a good motivation for the owners. Any time you are welcome to visit us. My husband and I are biologist and very interested to share with all the people our project and get nore info from those that area in this kind of project.

Welcome Mark!

Thanks for joining the Aquaponic Gardening community!  I hope you find it a fun place to explore aquaponics.  There is a real blend of experienced and new aquapons in this community, so please don’t hesitate to get in there and start asking questions.  Everyone is quite happy to help out new members--no question is too basic.

A great place to start is to read the “How to Use This Site” link on the upper right corner, “Start Here” section of the Home page.  You might also find the “Aquaponic Gardening Rules of Thumb” guidelines helpful.

Please add a profile image, participate and check in with us every day!  We are constantly posting news about aquaponics and the good food movement.

Thanks again for joining us, and I look forward to getting to know you.
