Thank you ,you guys are probably right ,it has been an uphill battle for reasonably priced hydroton ,I'll check out that site .I just did a test run in one of the beds to make sure the bell siphon was going to work and drain fast ,I am new to this ,worked excellent ,two more beds to test while it fills the tank at the same time ,no leaks yet ,looking forward to cycling the system .

If you are looking for expanded shale check out this company: https://www.facebook.com/hydroshale

I used some from him and the stuff was awesome.  Light weight, clean, and a great price.  Should be able to ship it there. Good luck!

Consider Expanded Shale instead of Hydroton it is much more cost effective.  I have been using it for about a year and it works well. It is available in Gainsville and I do think also in Ocala.

For the lettuce rafts

Uh, I don't know how easy it is to buy from them.  However, perhaps you can get a hold of some one at http://www.ouroborosfarms.com/ and see if they have any they are willing to sell.  I got the impression last winter that they do have a surplus.
