@Arlene if you're looking for koi try phoenix tropical fish, or craigslist. Ocean floor is hit or miss, they have koi but they don't always look the best, at least the little ones. Also there is a phoenix koi rescue group on yahoo, there's maybe a post once a month on there but it's a good way to get large fish if you're comfortable with transporting them.
Sea 90 is awesome.. we only use a minute amount on occasion.. 1/4 tsp / gal in a foliar spray.. then eat some of the salt at dinner. if You add it directly to the tank water, go with 1tsp/10 gallons of water.
Okay, this question is for all you people that know everything. What is your feelings about the sea-90 product, for the trace minerals in our AP systems? If it is beneficial then how much should we add?
Arlene - don't use the methylene blue they talk about...not to be used with fish-for-food. A preferred product for shipping fish is SHIP Shape water conditioning product.

He's got an English accent, and some of the words don't come through very clearly.
Aquaponics under the stars! (Better than bowling). My thanks to Matt Nathanson for a couple of pics from tonight's AGS 166 aquaponics class at Mesa Community College. The subject? Starting up and cycling the NFT aquaponic unit - backwards. Matt also donated the first fish. Twelve approximately 100 gram "pink" nile hybrid tilapia.
@ Kim
It probably okay to start shutting down the pump at night. I would give it an hour or two around midnight until it gets down another 10 degrees
how is that sprinkler valve working by now?
