Just setup two of my fish tanks and 2 of my grow beds to use solar energy. I believe, I have it setup correctly. So, Now i want to improve my setup and share my problems and success with others. That is the teacher in me.
Ned, if you're a DoItYourselfer...http://www.builditsolar.com/
Here's the blurb from the site:
Build It Solar will help people with Do It Yourself skills build solar projects that save money and reduce pollution. It is a "hands-on" site with detailed plans for solar projects including solar space heating, water heating, passive solar home design, solar pool heating, solar cooking, photovoltaics, wind generators, and others.
Here you go Ned. Try this www site out. I have never purchased from this supplier but they have excellent articles on solar energy, from entry level to deep technical discussions. http://www.altestore.com/howto/Renewable-Energy-Energy-Efficiency/I...
Hello all,
New here. Would like to get educated on solar and wind systems. Any recommended reading or websites, Live in South Florida, lots of sun and wind available.
Muchas gracias,
Ned
The oak rounds I cut really didn't lower the ph under 8. But I top off my system with about 5 gallons every day ( 425g system ). I'm going to mansinita branches. We have alot of it around here and I read that its higher in tannin then oak. I'll let you guys know.
Since nitrification in an aquaponics system generally lowers PH, how would you know that adding wood made your PH go down?
Jason,
I tried brown oak and my ph went from 8.4 to 8.2
You can see the stove on my website: zephyrgreenhousesystems.com
Is there a link to the stove, Rick?
