"As you can see my little greenhouse was a huge overgrown success!! As it was growing we ate it.  Tasted great! Grand kids loved it too! The fish (perch, gold fish, and sunfish) have gotten quite large.  Total system is almost 900 gal."

This last freezzzee in the north just killed my tomatoes that were still having blossoms’.  So I cut them out and getting ready to clean the tanks for the next batch. The fish have gotten big and I want to keep them for breed stock.  I will try to upload some pics soon.  Hang in there were all in this together!!

Hi Terry, I'm in Ithaca and give free classes from time to time through FreeSkool.  I have a system in my back yard in Belle Sherman.  Nice to see you are interested in off the grid.  I'm a MC at CCE Tompkins Co. Cheers, Steve Austin

Hi Terry,

Your idea about an off-grid group sounds great! Would you be willing to start it up and lead it? I'll put something at the top of the home page if you decide you will.

Not sure what you mean by people posting on the home page about commercial systems. Are you referring to the activity feed in the center column? That just shows the most recent comments anywhere. If that isn't it let me know. thanks!

Hi Terry,

Thanks for joining the Aquaponic Gardening community! I hope you find it a fun place to explore aquaponics. There is a real blend of experienced and new aquapons in this community, so please don’t hesitate to get in there and start asking questions. Everyone is quite happy to help out new members – no question is too basic.

A great place to start is to read the How to Use This Site link on the upper right corner, “Start Here” section of the Main page.

Please participate!

Thanks again for joining us, and I look forward to getting to know you.

Sylvia
