Pump power load on my SAP (Solar Aquaponics) system - rough calcs:
I just put the system up last week, and just put in a kill-a-watt meter on Sunday.

The meter is showing 200 watt hours in 24 hours for the 800 GPH 60 watt pump. That’s at 15 minutes on, 45 off during daylight, with on 15 minute cycle at night.

I'll put the sump pump on the meter this weekend to see if I need to add another panel before I move the sump off grid

You probably know that summer solstice was just a few days ago so you're at peak sun.  Winter solstice will be quite different (less).  Wishing you all the best.

Yep - New panels coming on before the days start getting to short :)

How do you manage air and water flow for the fish when the pump is off? Have you measured O2 content of the water?

Currently just goldfish, and they are doing fine without circulation over night.  They lived in the tank for a week or two before we got the pumps in.

Oh, and a few crawdads, clams & snails as well.
