Any time you want to discuss peppers.  I am new to Aquaponics, but have a background in aquaculture and fish and wildlife management.  Just recently started bottling our own hot pepper products and I have been growing hot peppers most of my life.  Always good to share tips and stories with others.

Hey Bobby, good to hear from you. I have used several different types of rabbit food, most made from alfalfa and Timothy hay, an somewhat local. I've never positively got an answer about pesticides or fertilizers, but my inlaws who grow hay nearby simply plant and harvest. Get the regular pellets, not the "gourmet" loose stuff with dried fruit and such.

Bobby, sorry for the delayed reply. I have been out and about. My only tips is to wash it, but gathering from your pictures this is a mute point.

Hi Bobby,

Thanks for friending me!

My project is coming along. It is something I'm doing on the side and is not a commercial operation, but it is the biggest backyard setup I have seen.

Here is a link to some photos if you would like to see it: http://homesteadaquaponics.com/pictures.php

Thanks,

Josiah

Thanks for joining the Aquaponic Gardening community!  I hope you find it a fun place to explore aquaponics.  There is a real blend of experienced and new aquapons in this community, so please don’t hesitate to get in there and start asking questions.  Everyone is quite happy to help out new members--no question is too basic.

A great place to start is to read the “How to Use This Site” link on the upper right corner, “Start Here” section of the Home page.  You might also find the “Aquaponic Gardening Rules of Thumb” guidelines helpful.

Please add a profile image, participate and check in with us every day!  We are constantly posting news about aquaponics and the good food movement.

Thanks again for joining us, and I look forward to getting to know you.
