"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.

This is to have succeeded."

-Ralph Waldo Emerson

How true Jessie, Most people measure success in total different ways.  So sad. One thing I would add is to have and be loved by a few close friends is true success.  I count my true fiends as the greatest treasure I have far above money and gold. I know they will always be there and never let me down.  They make me laugh and sometimes cry, but they give me a true inner peace.  Which is needed in this world today.

Wonderful to meet you at the conference.  I made a few new true friends there. Mahalo for all the work that you did.

I love this quote!  I have never heard it put quite like that, but it totally sums up what it is to succeed!
