Food Safety

Made this picture today for our ATOLL program Facebook page.  Thought I'd share it here.  There are so many reasons I've become an evangelist for aquaponic farming...  So glad that this community is spreading the word and growing.  We need to get at least 25% of the entire world population growing at least some of their food by 2050.

No fish yet but...

Here is my aquaponics rig so far. I guess its persistent lack of fish makes it hydroponics. I'm being a good boy this time around and following state fish and wildlife regs importunately that means I can only get my fish from state approved sources. The only fish farm that can legally sell yellow perch in Washington in in Oregon. After contacting them nearly weekly since march about buying some they finally admit they haven't checked their yellow perch  pond and probably wont…

The Adventures of Island Aquaponics - Part 3

So I haven't posted anything for awhile, well actually its been a year since my last post and a lot of things have happened.

Being a newbie at the time and wanting to know more about aquaponics I asked a few question and found myself in the company of some very illustrious individuals, helping with the drafting of the Charter for the Aquaponics Association.

Of course that lead to the Aquaponics Conference in Orlando and the formation of the Aquaponics Association in September…

asking for advice
