- Paul is an accomplished Electrical and Computer Engineer, with three master’s degrees and many patents. He brings aggressive innovation, attuned attention to detail, and creativity to gardening. Currently, Paul is experimenting with developing soil by planting different kinds of plants in it, building vertical gardens, developing methods for increasing food production; changing soil chemistry so you can grow any plant, and natural methods of pest control.
Over the past year the author has hosted a gardening show that plays in over 150 TV stations in the US. Currently, the polite show has been shot and is in negotiations with two TV networks.
Gardening Rhythms http://www.gardeningrhythms.com is a show that depicts a natural method of gardening lifestyle using observation, innovation, common sense and understanding the practical use of micro biology. This show teaches you how to garden without using chemicals and fertilizers, and it’s designed to give you tips to become a savvy home gardener. The authors' father, who holds a Masters in Agriculture, taught him how to prune trees using loppers and a chain saw at the age of 10. At 13, he expanded into beekeeping. As Paul got older, he supported himself through college doing landscaping.
The author's knowledge of ecology, soil ecology, soil food web, California's Native biological cycles, plant succession and new soil creation through the use of only plants has also evolved. Using the methods and processes that are applied to over 30 patents filled in the USA by the author, continued innovation occurs with new breakthrough in new soil creation and Aquaponics with soil food web biology innovations.
The author is also part of the Permaculture Guild in San Francisco and surrounding cities. Over the past 4 years, the author has taught grade school kids Permaculture and ecology with sustainable live in mind.

Aquatic Nitrogen Fixers for Aquaponics

Hello All,
I found Dinoflagellate & Coral work together to fix nitrogen in water for plants. However, it live mostly in salt water conditions. Cyanobacteria is one of the first bacteria to fix nitrogen, but it needs at least three things for it to grow, decay of organic material, bicarbonates in the water and light.
