Hey Scott Jackson,

I am also wanting Bluegill for my system; so if you find someone with or has a connection to a resource count me in...I would be willing to buy 1k fish so maybe we can get a reasonable price.  I am also wanting Trout (Rainbow and or Steelhead) probably 500 to 750, so if any one out there can help please contact Scott or Blair.

Thanks for the suggestions! I think I will go with pond liner 45 mil just to be safe.

They sell the new.

Make sure you go to the small order section of the site and look for only the new material.

Billboard tarps are vinyl and they are not considered a healthy choice. Vlad had written about the chemistry of vinyl many times. I have purchased used billboard tarps, and found them to be worthless.  So many holes it was impossible to patch.  So if you buy vinyl I'd suggest new vinyl.

@Scott

Here is a link:

It is 15-17mil UV and PVC.  Many colors and a price point to fit anyones budget.  Just about any size you want and they have good customer service.  It is the same material that was being used for bed liners at the GrowHouse on the farm tour at the Conference in Denver last September.

Scott, I sell DuraSkrim, $5 per lin ft of 6' roll, 20 mil. Or, you can buy whole rolls at Global Plastic Sheetingin SoCal, I think it's $250 per 100 ft roll, plus tax and shipping. Sorry, it's only 6' wide, not 7', but it lays out a 50" wide trough 12" deep with no waste.

For media, just use gravel. I prefer large size 1 1/2" drainrock or lava. You can often find lava rock for free on Craigslist, previously used for landscaping. If so, ask if they used herbicides on it, rinse well, and wallah.

Any ideas on liner and grow media that won't brake my wallet locally? I need 76 cubic feet of media and 23x7 liner times 2. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks :)
