I wasnt thinking of people many miles away, thanks for the thought. This is why my brain isnt able to think of all the factors that goes into planning a tour. Something definitely has to happen in Phoenix, Im confident Local Roots can do something great down there along with your drinks and prizes. I guess we now need to gather some tour willing people to set a date for a tour maybe in March?

It wass nice to meet David and Mark at Dr. Brooks meeting last night. Great turn out !  The meeting for Jan. 11th sounds very informative. Count me in on a tour in Phoenix or Tucson as I am a sponge for ideas right now !

David Sch.

this tour is in the Phoenix area?

I will drive up for the tour. So, I am in favor of an hour at each spot. Maybe a schedule of 6 or 7 in a day. Just a thought.

I have gathered about 13 people that want to be part of an AP tour, I now need some suggestions on how to plan for one or maybe its better to do several. Ive seen my share so I think it would work best if we focus on one at a time.

My salesman from NY called me back today with the freight quote: $2,800. He thought it was crazy too as he referred me to a company in Utah called U-Lite that makes the same product. They have material in the area at a concrete plant. It turns out that this material is used as part of the mix for lightweight concrete! Best I have seen so far is $150 for a 1.5 cubic yard "bag".

Meanwhile, bought 400 pounds of 1/2" - 1" natural river rock (not as sharp as crushed) from Pioneer for $7.17....

Mark

I think you may be able to find the expanded shale a bit closer to you

If anyone with an AP system around Tucson would be willing to participate in the upcoming Tucson Systems Tour (date in January TBD), please let us know.  The more systems -- of all types -- the better.  We will be pay hosts a small amount for their time showing people around.
