@Bob, I was looking at my links and wanted to clarify, the place is called reef culture, not "the Reef" I added their link, they are located on Price road in Tempe next to the freeway, it's an odd location would never thought twice of visiting it until I found they were the closet "aquarium" type place around me besides the Petco's (the people at petco don't know jack, so I wanted to talk to some people who actually do this for a living).  Anyway it's a cool place to check out I like going in and just looking at their set up.

Cool pictures Dr Brooks, but you need a flash on your camera, the people are kind of shadowed

I got my heaters from a place in tempe called "The Reef"  they do saltwater reef's and saltwater fish, but they do have a lot of aquarium stuff, like heaters and what not.  They do have less less wattage heaters too, but I figured I wanted the highest they had and the price was right - about 40 bucks per heater (dont tell the wife though I've  already spent to much on this "hobby" already and told her they were cheaper).  They will also order you anything you need regarding aquarium stuff, real cool guys and the aquariums they have set up are just awesome!

Fish tank temperature back up to 68F last night and back to 65F this morning.

I'm happy with that.  I expect it'll get well in to the 70s over the next week.

Happy and hungry fish will result.

I checked my temps this morning and it is up to 60. @Matt, where did you get your heaters? What are they? How much did they run? I need to get my tilapia out of my daughter's fish tank (she's a little irked about it, ha!) this week.

@ Matt  --  Wow, that must have been a really cold rain for 1200 watts to not keep up!

I didn't think to check after the rain but my fish pond is back up to 72f (22.2 c)  this afternoon.  I had 7/8 of an inch at my house (0.875") or 22.2 mm

How is that for spooky? - both temp and rain amounts equal the same 22.2!  Anyway that's what Google said -- is that right you metric people?

My tank went from 80's to about 72, it's back up close to 80 now.  I kept my tank and sump covered though is in the direct sun light throughout the day.  Luckily the only rain that got in was from the growbed, not to mention that I have the three 400 W fish heaters all set at 80.  Then again my fish tank is only 170 gallons so it's not as big as some of the others.

Ditto on the temperature effects of the ice storm on my home aquaponics. Glad I waited as well.
