Visited Sheri and Bob's house today.  Thank you both for the hospitality!  You have a great set up and I very much appreciated your willingness to share your knowledge. Purchased 23 tilapia and some rocks with bacteria from their tanks.  Went over to the school and finished the grow bed and let them loose.  Planted some lettuce, basil, and thyme in the bed.  Glad to have met both of you today...looking forward to swapping stories and tips.  Thanks.

Well some good news, After opening up the FT lid and sump, the fish started coming to the surface by the end of the day, and actually started eating again.  I went digging and found two of my 400 watt tank heaters and put them in the fish tank, hopefully that will help keep some warmth during the night.

Well, since my adopted fish died and all the fish seem to be huddled at the bottom, I decided to start "warming up" my system.  I opened the top of my fish tank to let the sun do it's magic, and put a net on top so the fish wont jump out.  I also opened up the hood on my sump tank which has black pond liner in it so that should warm up too.  I took the silver bubble insulation off from around top up tank so the sun should warm up that tank nicely I'm hoping.  I haven't taken the insulation foam off from the fish tank yet, as I need to paint the tank to stop algae from going crazy.  So I'm planning to do that next weekend, hopefully the direct sun light on the tank will help heat it up.  Besides that I may drop in a tank heater too.  Is anyone else starting to try and warm up their water yet?

I'm am very careful with the adoption process.  Everyone is fully vetted.

Matt being a smoker was borderline, but since he went on the e-pipe we agreed he was on the road to recovery.  I certainly don't want my fry picking up any bad habits or living with the dangers of second hand smoke.

Blessings to you all.

Matt check your PH and amonia levels or do you think it died from missing Jim?

I have sad news to tell you today, I had a fish die today *sniff* it was  a three incher and one of the new white Tilapia that Jim had given me.  I, I, I need to be alone for a while.....

Anyone ever grow a pumpkin in their system?

We will see if it lasts.  Not sure it will be carving size in time.
