Yeah Sheri pretty steep indeed!

Even considering we wouldn't have to pay for travel and lodging...

looking for seasoned AP folks in Ahwatukee or nearby.  I am moving a system to my home this or next weekend and may need to house, sell/trade (for when i'm ready later...), or eat the fish that are coming with the tank.  i'd like to save the fish if possible but i'm quite green at AP and not sure if I will be able to so want to consider other options.  I'd love to visit someone nearby and see their system.  i may have a couple of others who said they could possibly help me out but the closer the better so I thought i'd check other avenues, too.  thx all.  i'm so glad to have found this forum!!!  i hope this can be a fun, healthy and successful way to feed my family and community.  hoping long-term it will save us $ on organic eating.  Kim

I agree Sheri. That "Phoenix" was chosen for this event speaks well on the foundation that is being built here.

Impressive, John!

Doggone, I'd love to take that course, Dr. George, but the price is too steep for me. It covers a lot of good stuff. Anyone into commercial production should definitely go!

Wow Sheri your freezer is full huh? Glad to hear that, sounds like we need to organize a fish fry or grill at your house soon. Cant believe how fast this group is growing.

Temperature Monitoring

After many months of experimentation I have finally managed to get LIVE temperatures of my Aquaponics setup posting to the Internet.

I am using an Arduino-based system with three temperature sensors.

You can see a chart of the last 24 hours any time at this linkClick Here

More electronic goodness to follow, including email notifications of system problems, flow rate monitoring, water level tracking... the list is endless!

Yes, we've pulled out some big'uns! The largest were 3.5 lbs. The freezer is full now and we're now bringing up a crop of fish that are between 8-10" right now.

Matt, when the weather gets colder we'll be shutting ours down at night. It does keep the tank warmer. We keep the water temp at 70 during the winter, so the ammonia doesn't build as quickly as it does in the summer when the water is in the 80's.
