@Kent - This winter we are rebuilding all of the pasture fencing so the AP systems can be incorporated into the pastures.  We purchased the IBC's a couple of months ago and will need to purchase the media in probably Feb.  I built my first AP system  late summer last year to work out the bugs, nothing like OJT for learning.

System Photos : a couple of photos showing the tremendous growth in the AP system.

@Matt - The tomatoes are either big cherry or small normal.  I think they are cherry tomatoes.   Most of the tomato plants in my system are self sown from the Spring crop so I don't really know what they are.   Doesn't matter. They all eat.

My thanks to all of you who have submitted Aquaponics Ideas for the new Phoenix General Plan. Just for the record, the General Plan is in effect the business plan for the City of Phoenix and by state law, every 10 years we must rewrite it. With your recommendations we walk closer to having all aspects of urban agriculture included when this come to the ballot in 2015.  Here is a link to the ideas that include aquaponics so far. If I did it correctly you should be able to use it from now on to look at future updates.

Thanks and enjoy:  http://bit.ly/18ec9cd

@Scott - Thats great! How far along are you with things? If you are interested in purchasing materials together to get better pricing let me know.

@John - Those are some good looking tomatoes.

@Kent - Another aquapon on the west side, yipee!  We have 2+ acres down south in Laveen.  Between pastures for the horses, red worms, raised beds, fruit trees and aquaponics we are turning the entire 2 acres green.  This will be a multi year project, but when finished, washington dc could implode and we should be fine.
