Now..

BTW, Mama started releasing her fry a bit yesterday. I just caught her on film sucking them back in. I need time so I can get the videos ready and post them! Anyone know where I can buy an extra day or three?

I would love to see that, too. I got a kick out of their rent-a-chicken idea!

I'd also like to tour the Rhiba Farms Dobson Ranch set up when it's open for tour, that's where the chickens are now.  I'll ask Mark on Sunday if he knows when that might be...

Reminder...RhibaFarms is having their monthly tour this Sunday starting at 10am.  Call and put your name on the list (480-632-0272) if you are interested in attending.  I enjoyed the tour very much, so much so that I am going again (this time in the daytime).  They are located in Chandler, 2 miles south of the 60 just off of Country Club Dr. (Az Ave.).

The first TAPST will likely be on Saturday 2/11/12 9AM-3PM but I am still confirming with the hosts.  We should have 5 stops on this TAPST, perhaps including the UA greenhouse AP systems!  I will post the details here as soon as I have them.

I am testing different configurations for the heater and will post my results when I'm done. I'm also working on a geothermal cooler for the summer months. Everything I'm trying is intended to be the most effective DIY method for the Phoenix climate.

As far as off the grid greenhouses go, I've been studying the design that FriendlyAquaponics.com is building. They have a lot of great information and have just completed construction of a large self contained unit that is really interesting. There are a series of newsletters that deliver great information, read #60 - #66 at this link: http://www.friendlyaquaponics.com/support/newsletter-back-issues/ They are up to #70 now but haven't posted them all online yet I will forward them to anyone who is interested.
