cool
I'll only need to seam the pond liner if I get it wrong...
John,
You are bad!
WOW!!
that is beautiful.. I am jealous..
it looks perfect.. I want one.. But I will wait for my next move.
Thank you for the pictures..
OH
do you need to seem the pond liner?
Well, the hole wasn't deep enough after all. I'd forgotten to allow for the framing and support structure. So back in to the hole I went. I don't care what the result is, as of now, the hole has been declared deep enough.
I assembled the fish tank today as well. Now to add some insulation, the pond liner, and drop it in the hole. If you say it quickly it doesn't sound like much.
This is the closest I've ever been to having a working aquaponics system.
It THIS big, Daddy!
Where'd she go?
I dont believe in charging, my knowledge is your knowledge but Im hoping someones would help with side dishes or drink for all of us. It would also be sweet if I could smoke some of my own tilapia but fershur next year.
for the guests, I had coffee, tea, soda, and they could taste the herbs.. at no charge.. I had fun.
The VPA charges $10 for their chicken coop tour, but I like the idea of an informal tour with no fees. As years progress, it might change. But for now, a dish at the end sounds good to me.
the guy down here charged $10.00 per person for the tour into his setup. he charged David and I about the same, when we went to see his setup.. I am guessing he made about $100 an hour during the tour.. Chickens will not get you that much money, starting our... for me it is all about having fun.
I can always count on your Sherri, thanks for being you.
I think life gets in the way of these things often enough. For me, income-generating contracts tend to take precedence for some reason.
This weekend we're setting up for a flock of meat chickens, then we'll start our AP remodel. We may be done by April 21 if we're able to steal a few moments here & there...or we may just be starting. :) We're down to only a few plants right now in AP, including a monster tomatillo. (Anyone have good tomatillo recipes?)
But yes, the idea is to see different systems in their current state, and to share ideas; to learn from each other. It's not to show a perfect system or to see who has the biggest and baddest system. If we can do this annually, we can see how things evolve.
