Bob,
You are GREAT!
I laugh with you.. Because, I know what you mean..
It happened to me..
and I know some friends on here, have gone over board.. because of enthusiasm
I sincerely, hope they don't stop.. I will do all that I can
Hey Dave, PLEASE message me to get plans started for the tour here next month.
Dave said - one of the places on the Tucson Tour had two 1/2 barrels for grow beds. It does not matter large or small.. people want to see where they can start and where they can go with AP.
I absolutely agree. Had I only seen elaborate systems like mine I would have never considered aquaponics.
At first my intentions were to build a cheap and simple system using IBC's, but as I began to research aquaponics my enthusiasm took me to a place I never would have imagined going. I think my system is a bit over the top, but I still have the IBC's and I'm looking forward to putting a very simple tank/growbed together so others can see the rewards of a weekend project.

Can I include you Bob C. for a place we stop at for the tour in April?
my auto siphon is simple and easy to maintain.
Now that I have it perfected, I have not had a problem on my last 5 tanks with auto siphons. I purchase all of my parts from Ace Hardware. If you are interested, I will walk you thru it. It is one of my points of interest when I tour people around my facility and greenhouse.
Dave I wonder if you would be willing to share your info here?
My siphon is working well, but I've become very interested in learning more about what it is that makes a good siphon. I had to work way too hard at perfecting mine.
Maynhia,
google chrome seems be the problem
Went back to IE, seems to work now.
I tried to order the dvd's packet from pratical aquaponics. Had trouble the first try because the bank denied the international charges. after I got every settled I never heard from them again. Luckily, there was no charge made. Anyone familiar with their dvd's if so is it worth pursuing them? I like Murray's youtube clip and learned a lot from him but then I also learn tons from you guys.
Dave, kudos on your papayas. I felt your passion about growing exotic fruit trees when we were there. Thanks for experiment them for us all. I would like to do that as well someday. Have you tried Quinoa? its very nutritious. I ordered a kit from amazon. I'll let you know how it goes.
I have posted my bell siphon tests and have drawn a conclusion.
