@Matt, very cool fish feeder!  I'm interested in instructions and a parts list, etc.

@Dr. Brooks, I bought my Uni-Seals from http://www.bulkreefsupply.com, they had the best pricing online (if you bought 6 at a time), of course there was a small amount of shipping.  Let me know what you find locally and prices.  Just checked the price, for 1.5" they are $3.09 each (if you buy 3 or more0, + $11.43 UPS shipping which is their cheapest method (makes them about $5 bucks each if you get 6).  I don't remember spending that much, but it's been over a year since I bought them....maybe they have gone up.

Awesome feeder, Matt!

Scott, is it the water or the intensity of the spray? If it's the spray, you can gently pour water over them, or use worm tea. Last year it worked miracles on my plants - both in eliminating the mealy bugs and it made the plants happy.

Thanks Jim! I had fun building it.  I'll message you on the price tag if you are still interested for your other in-devour..

Oh, and if anyone here on our AZ group (locals only please) would like me to build you one (or show you how to build one), just message me and I'll give you an honest run down on the price for the parts - I'm not doing this for a profit, so it would just be to cover the parts, I'm not including labor (or my brilliance of design - joke), this is my way of saying "thank you" for all the help everyone has given me over this past year, and figured it was the least I could do .  This new fish feeder can hold over 8 lbs of fish pellets - not to bad.

Nice Matt!  Keep the faith!

Ok, does anyone know how to deal with mealy bugs?  Spraying them off is damaging  the plants to much.

Hey Guys thought I would shoot you a picture of the start of the classroom aquaponic set-up. Got a great deal on this 40 gallon tank and we had the shelving system sitting in a corner at the school. Taking my time....building suspense with the kids
