I caught half a dozen native crayfish from a local lake a week ago. They are doing well, eating, two molted, and they appear to be getting along so far. It will be interesting to see how they do in comparison to the Yabbies.

Chi, how do you get the greens to stay down on the bottom where the crays can get to them?

I also feed them trimmings from the greens that don't get eaten.

@chi  What are you feeding the redclaws?  I know you mentioned that they seemed to like the left over fish food, but is there anything else that you are using to supplement their diets?

@chi Thats great!  It seems from the posts and your pictures your crays are doing very well.

I took them out of the main AP tank. Stuck them in a 40 gallon tank. I pulled the females out when I noticed that they were berried. I don't know about cannibalism because there are too many to count. But I put a clump of java moss in the tank so that they have something to cling to and eat.

Chi were the babies born in the tank or did you put them in a breeder tank?  If so, how did you remove the berried female from the tank?  One last thing,  any problems with cannibalism?
