Sounds great guys but before you shut down the air pump you should consider leaving it running for a backup in case something happens to your water supply.

Thanks all for the discussion on the Venturi's. I went out Into the garage and built (similar but needs a little repiping) one and it worked GREAT.! Actually enough to unplug my aerator pump & stones. Have them all ready incase fish start to show a little stress later when we put them back in. Again thanks for the heads up.

using it and it works. I got it installed in the drain pipe of my siphon just before entering the the tank. also, drill some holes on the drain pipe and it creates more bubbly action

I've seen other videos but I like the concept of these. Thanks.

Michael, I just ordered my second batch of red wigglers to grow out through the winter. The only survivors of my first batch are the ones in my grow beds. I had 2 containers set up that were doing well until I lost the first ones to too much heat. Didn't know worms were so sensitive. They second one finally went bust, don't know why. I think I had too many irons in the fire and didn't pay enough attention to my worms. Going to do better this time (I hope).

Jim, Have you ever played around with a venturi in a standpipe to introduce oxygen into the water?

2014-11-24_19-37-00_377.jpg          I've got worms!

Red wigglers; They've finally settled into their new home... I'm still building my system...it's getting closer to getting done. I'll keep everyone posted on my progress ... (or lack there of)
