Comment by TCLynx on March 4, 2011 at 6:35pm: Warning to all. I've been out of town for the past week so my yard has not been dressed up for the event. You will get the "raw" view of my gardens this time of year. Which isn't so bad, this is a great time of year for many of the best garden veggies. The systems are bursting with veggies.

There are visuals to show what iron deficiency looks like in my big system, I need to add chelated iron.

The in ground wicking bed and the other soil bed are bursting at the seams (or lifting the netting.) Anyone who likes swiss chard or spinach, we have plenty.

The 300 gallon system got most my attention today. The fish died again. Something about the system has been making the fish sick. So, I've removed the questionable shade cloth cover and drained/cleaned the fish tank. For the moment the system is running in a small bin and it's had essentially a 90% water change. Sunday I'll refill the fish tank and adjust the pH. I'll dose with ammonia to make sure the bio-filter is still functional.

Just to let everyone know, we won't have any seedlings available for sale, but we should have some bagged lettuce available I think. However, we may be all sold out by then as we also have our regular farm tour earlier in the day and one of the stores we sell to sold out today! See everyone soon!

You will be amazed at what our fellow Aquapons have done and there incredible knowledge. I have a great lunch in store for everybody. Salad from our tour sites and of course Big Blue will be here to greet you.
