A message from Victoria Dolci to all members of Florida Aquaponics

This is a message sent out by Victoria that I thought would be far easier for people to answer in a discussion form since the messages to the group don't really give a way to reply.

I live in Orlando and have an area between my house and my fence that is 7' by 16' that I can dedicate to an Aquaponics garden. It is on the west side of the house and does not get morning sun. Is that a problem? It does get sun from noon on.
I also have an area inside my pool enclosure that is comfortable 8' by 7' and is on the east side of my house. I thought about putting the fish tank inside the screen room one growbed and then running a pvc pipe outside the screenroom for another bed for plants that need to be pollinated.
Am I going to need to shade these plants in the heat of the summer?
Any Thoughts are appreciated.

There are plenty of bugs here but I've managed to get to eat some of my veggies too and I haven't sprayed anything around my garden or AP system in well over a year. I just keep trying different things and I've managed to find a few that work.

There is also the option of running constant flow/flood during the coldest parts of the year with what would normally otherwise be flood and drain beds. I've managed to do this with the indexing valve by removing the innards of the valve and setting the pump to run constant and then topping up the system with extra water for the cold stretch.

Speaking of temps - first really cool snap of the season is reportedly coming in tomorrow. Wednesday night could see area's north of Tampa in the low 30's.

For me (Citrus County) Wednesday is a forecast low of 31, Thursday low of 34, Friday low of 38, Saturday 40
