http://www.aquaponiclynx.com/ I've been trying very hard to get a Fish Cam up online for Fish TV but have been finding it challenging.

I hear ya. I will probably end up making a pvc enclosure with a 90 degree fitting and plexi on the viewable end. This way I can avoid water all together >.br/>
For USB 9' is about the limit before you need a booster and if its a high speed booster type you can go 16' between boosters ...

But you are right, usb would not be the best choice for outside, its best to stick to coaxial or maybe cat5 with a power supply

Seeing as my fish tank is outside, I didn't think I could arrange to keep my computer close enough to it to simply hook up a normal USB web cam.  I've not seen any really long usb extension cables and the web cams I've seen, their cable wouldn't even reach half way down my fish tank before needing to waterproof a connection so I went with something fairly water proof already and with a long enough cable to reach inside.

Might end up just modding a web cam and using it instead. Looking at reviews for the unit you quoted they seem to break a lot >.br/>
After googleing "underwater webcam" it has given me many ideas :)

It is a waterproof camera to begin with.  An underwater cctv camera.  To protect the metal from the fish water and vice versa I found that the camera fits just perfectly into a 2" rubber coupling and I coated the back with aquarium silicone as well as the front edge to further waterproof it.

It is a Lorex Color Submersible IR Camera

looks like they want to eat the camera lol ... what type of cam are you using? And better yet how did you waterproof it?
