I made fishfood and am testing it on trout. This was gross but they love it--I took a large pack of whole anchovies (6-8") and 3 whole crab. 4 cups whole wheat flour. 2 cups bulgar wheat. 4 eggs. 4 cups compressed duckweed. 2 cups corn meal. Water.
I blended the fish and crabs --Dan Ackroyd --ronco Bass Amatic on SNL smelled great.
took a few goes to get that smooth texture.
then mixed it up like a cake with a hand mixer.
spread it on tinfoil (it is going to stick to the foil) 1/4 1/2" thick
Bake at 425 for 20-40 minutes until it look like a flat cake. SMELLED BAD.
My wife was gone and i thought she was not going to be back until 8pm started this at 10am--she came back 20 minutes after I put it in the oven. WTF was the response.
After it cooks peel it off the foil--break it up into smaller peices then cook it some more until it browns a little--this dries it out.
I ended up with 4 pounds of dried chow.
I think if i use more egg next time I can get more of it to float longer.
Any thoughts on nutrition--Do you think this will be fine as a full time diet rather then aquamax that i have to buy online and shipping is horrible.

What are there no feed stores in Oregon? Surely you can get aquamax at a feed store that is a purina dealer. (Tractor supply being the exception)
You go to the Purina Mills web site and do a dealer search for your zip code. Then call up a few stores near you and see what they will charge to have a bag of your chosen fish feed put on the next pruina delivery (you don't want them to stock it all the time since fish feed goes bad quickly, just find out their normal ordering and delivery schedule so you know how far in advance you need to call to get a bag.)
