You are pioneering one of the most interesting greenhouses. With Winter coming on I'm about ready to turn the lights on. Jon Parr has suggested Ceramic Metal Halide. From everything I've read this looks like the best.
But I'm curious about how much light you are using. I get that you bring in as much as possible through the windows, and are supplementing 4000W per 6000 sq ft plus some florescent.
Your crops look amazing so surely we can learn a lot from you.
I'm wondering what type of florescent and how much. Even 1W/sq ft would seem very low even with all your Mylar. My indoor grow room is smaller, but similar. I placed a large Mylar mirror in front of the window to reflect more light in. At night I fold it up to the window for extra insulation.
Tom, you have a wonderful building. I'm guessing you want to run your operation year long so have everything indoors. Instead of lights, I'd be adding more skylights. I'd also plumb all my lines outdoors into a lean-to greenhouse to take advantage of natural, free sunlight and save the insulated interior for fish production only. But that's only my opinion.
Keep at it and break a leg!
