I have bounced over a period of days, between 70 and 72F pretty much all summer long and I see no problems at all. Trout are hungry and healthy. When I do an IBC dump and refill during a harvest the makeup well water will drop it to around 68F. At 59F the bacteria in the system slow down and I have a harder time keeping the water clear.
Blue, There was a "warm water trout" thread a while back where one of the people posted a nice chart showing temperature vs growth rates for trout. 59 F sounds about right for the optimal growth rate. It might be worth searching for because there were some interesting comments about raising trout in water above 70 F.
