That would be the global color scheme that Sylvia switched to. Take heart, I think she changes it yearly so there is probably only a limited time till she picks a new one.
Not necessarily you, this site sometimes does strange things.
OOPS, I think it was me. Got it. The redundancy was a bit confusing.
Morning TC. The only thing I did was get rid of the messaging and now this approval thing started in. I'll ck it out today. Thanx.
Jim, I think if it is YOUR group, you always have the option to send a message to the group even if you disable it to others. Make sure you allow all to join and have the group be public and uncheck the "approve all new members" box
Also I disabled "Contact Group" at our IBC thread as TC suggested due to people using that as a post and NOW it is still there and suddenly I have to approve all new members. What's up with that?
I do wish the colors on here would be fixed. Who decided that links should be black rather than blue and page titles should be so dark on dark blue that you can no longer see them? I have been bitching about this for months along with others.
Hey Bob, right now it would be hard to calculate as we are suddenly powering 2 households since our daughter moved into our cabin and we are in the new house. However last Summer when we placed the new pond pump into op my wife noticed about a 10.00 jump in power bills over the next few months which is about what I expected. That pump is a Little Giant 1100gph gem that has been on line continuously now for over a year. I am running some extra air pumps since then but I am not at all sure they are essential. Just make me feel better really especially with Trout.
We are in TVA area that has fairly low rates as well due to all the water power dams. I do have a meter on the GH so I will do a 1 mos check on usage as I originally had planned to do but house construction continues to hamper all other activities and I have more important things to do before Winter like getting the heat system installed which I still have to do myself including building another wood fired boiler/hot air wood stove. My system build book is even stalled at 105 pages as I can't finish it until the GH and complete system is finished and that ain't happening anytime soon although our daughter's fiancee is busting his hump on it when he is around so there is hope.
Funny thing is that after harvesting all that produce and fish over the past year the electric bill becomes secondary. My wife hasn't even mentioned it lately as she does most of the harvesting and gets particularly excited when I announce it is time for another trout dinner. And btw my simple system is all documented I believe at my photo pages complete with drawings. My pump only has to lift about 5 to 6 feet (from top surface of sump to first and highest FT) and I still run bypass as not all the GBs are installed yet.
BTW Bob some of your great and much appreciated pics aren't loading completely and a special thanks to you for your detailed descriptions. I wish more people would take the time to do the same. Here is one giving me trouble.
Have you checked to make sure your e-mail service or spam stopper or junk folder isn't getting the missed notifications?
Otherwise I don't know. I've been bummed since my subscription notices over on BYAP quit working after their last upgrade.
