I got them around that size as well. It took them about 6 months to start reproducing.

I am not sure how old they are, and how do you tell males from females? I have had them about 4 months, they were about 2" when I got them.

That male looks nice. They like 80 degree plus waters to reproduce.

The native crayfish I caught bit the dust.... I just found them all belly up the other day. Very disappointing. The Yabbies are doing well (fingers crossed.)

Good to know. I am still young in my aquaponic journey. I plan to stick with food production and aquaponics until it is my career.

That's cool Rick. Just remember that the native cray's fungus is waterborne. Don't share the same water with the two species of cray.
