New IBC Grow Out Tanks

The barrels in the back of the 6-IBC grow out tanks are 2-media filters, 1 lava rock filter and on the extreme left, the sump.The large 1,000 tanks in the back are not currently in use.Continue

@Chris - I have been trying to go that route but can't seem to get any of the reps to return my phone calls. I am going another route. Talking with chefs and going the back way in. I'll let you know how that goes. Thanks for the tip!!!!!!

@ Jay --- hey you might be able to contact the local food distributor for the restaurants and get a price on vegetable, I know that they change every day, but it would give you an idea of the $$. I'm a chef and I know the sells reps wont have a problem with helping you out. Maybe help you sell some of it. I wouldn't tell them everything, they might think your out to cut them out. Just an idea.

@ Jay Buzz word is "organic" to get better price. Other approach is to ask restaurant for "high demand plants" herbs..etc which have to be fresh. Adjust your production to the demand the best price you can get. Growing time and production cost on your side are the most important factors for you to make money.

Hi there, I am going to be working with a guy here in South Florida that owns fish farms (tropical live bearers for the hobbyist) and his pools (cement, above ground) are 15 feet by 15 feet and I want to add a hydroponic conversion to the top of the tanks like an ebb and flow system.
Any ideas or resources would be appreciated.
I will post some pics as well

Added you as a friend Peter. The only problem I am having right now is figuring out pricing for the plants. I know what margins the grocery stores are using for produce (I have friends in the biz) but I feel like I am in the dark as to what restaurant pricing would be. Any suggestions?

like any other business, local research about price, demand and supply and I would suggest find out BEFORE you build a commercial system . e-mail and we can talk about..... :)
