It's not aquaponic, but salt water aquaculture is obviously an associated idea, and the commercial success of this venture is a great guidepost.

Some forms of salt water aquaculture could easily be adjusted for aquaponics. You could easily combine the salt water fish with specific seaweeds that have commercial value as food products. In my mind they would be symbiotic.
