What To Bring In Costa Rica If You Ever Want To Build An Aquaponics System

Here is the list - mainly complete but does not include every little things I can think of!

water pumps
air compressor (aquarium types)
all testing combo/kit to check quality water
if building rafts system - the liners (if you have the space and budget)
plastic connectors like these ones http://www.aquaticeco.com/search/0/bk112 - still unable to find where these are being sold in Costa Rica

Hi Badi,

There is a lot of information on this subject that is readily available. I am an Artist and Engineer and one of my current projects involves Aquaponics and Costa Rica. This web page is still under construction and so I would appreciate getting some feedback from you on it.

You have 2 options:

media systems - in that case I will recommend the Murray video at http://www.theaquaponicstore.com/Murray-Hallam-s-DIY-Aquaponics-Vid... or you can just buy the PDF plans on Murray site at http://aquaponics.net.au/blog/aquaponics-diy
raft system - excellent plans, that are the ones I used - http://www.friendlyaquaponics.com/

All of this info is valid for small backyard system. If you want to go commercial, than it is another ball game!

I bought all my stuff, except the liner, from these guys - http://www.aquaticeco.com. Excellent service. If you go for the Friendly Systems, they have all the parts numbers from Aquaticeco layout for you!
