Aquaponic Gardening

A Community and Forum For Aquaponic Gardeners

I am not talking about those Mock Meat things.  You know Portobello burgers, Tofu grilled things, Falafel's, black bean who knows what and don't forget TVP mixed patties.  Yuck! All those things that try to be meat just aren't and we know it.   NO! I say.  Lets go for the intense flavors of Veggies.

So here is my first entry on the best No Meat Sandwich quest.

Tonight I made the following bad boy. I decided I wanted that spicy grilled onion and pepper from the M world taste. I had on had the following.

Roasted peppers slighltly blackened warmed and diced for the base. I also had some 3/4 cooked Pablemos and I heated and diced them.

Next I added some very thin julienne soft sun-dried tomatoes. This gives it the rich flavor of pepperoni. Just kidding. But the sweetness and texture can't be missed.  The mouth wants what the mouth wants.

On some toasted mulitgrain bread I spread the following. On one half

Almond butter - just a thin layer.  Nut butters especially Almond or Cashew can really bring the taste buds wondering. On the other half.

I spread some of Sahibs Chutney.  An orange chutney with some heat and bite.

Man this was great!   I tried some sliced cuke for crunch but it didn't work as planed.

Namaste Cosmo Sir,

So glad you enjoyed the Spicy Orange Chutney. It does have a kick...cayanne and black peppers help the heat index ;-)

This was made from Tangelo Oranges and Kamquats. It is one of the items that we hope to market one day under the "Florida Aquaponic Produce" banner and "Fresh from Florida"...just got to get the Citrus trees started in Aquaponics :-)

One day I will get you to try the Spicy Lemon Chutney...similar but made from Meyer Lemons...Yum!

God bless
