I saw that email this morning too!

I'm excited, and already planning on taking time off of work for it.

I think I'm going to check this one out since it is so close.

That's is great news.  We'll be there from tombstone

Most of you should have received this email, but just in case:

Happy Friday everyone!

I want to be sure that you all mark your calenders now for the 2013 Aquaponics Association Conference!  This year's event will be held September 21 - 23 at the gorgeous Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tuscon, AZ.  Tuscon has become quite a hub of aquaponics activity these past few years so there will be loads to see on the farm tours, in addition to the amazing array of outstanding speakers and workshops that we've all come to expect from this annual conference.

PLUS we are thrilled to announce that Joel Salatin of Polyface Farms will be both the Saturday dinner keynote speaker and will also run the morning workshop on Sunday!  Joel was featured in Michael Pollan's "Omnivore's Dilemma", and in the movies Food, Inc. and Fresh. He has also written his own books titled "Folks, This Ain't Normal" and "You Can Farm".  I've had the pleasure of hearing Joel speak twice, and not only is he a passionate, and wickedly funny, advocate of food that is (from his book description) "Wholesome, seasonal, raised naturally, procured locally, prepared lovingly, and eaten with a profound reverence for the circle of life." but he is also a huge fan of aquaponics.  Needless to say, hanging out with him at this conference is going to be an amazing opportunity for all of us!

I hope to see you there!

Sylvia

How much will it cost to attend?

Cool, my firehouse covers the resort and I work 2 of the days, maybe we can sneak in
