for the snail problem i have found a sort of solution for now....
the fish eat the snails so every 2nd 3rd day i will collect most
of the snails in a small net and then feed the fish...they love it
now i feed pellets,worms,BSF larvae,snails and duckweed
the fish are happy and healthy and getting big......
Yust me thinking
I made this worm bin with scrap wood and bits and pieces I had around...
The bin when installed will be between 2 poles planted in the ground at working height.
Bought the drum for very veryyyyyyy cheap
Made it simple and I think it will work well.
Rotating bin with hatch for feeding and casting unload.
Not much work to build and …?
I have changed the pipes to allow more water in the fish tank….fish are getting big
Use to run with 500 litres and now I have about +-750 litres water in the tank.
Open the tap and the dam level drops to 500L water...a by pas to drop water to level so I can clean the tank...
I clean by hand every +-2 days...slowly moving the solid's in the two corners where the outlet is...some solids collect in these two corners that I help to the outlet pipe where it gets sucked to the worm filter, the rest of tank stays clean with the flow of the water coming from the pump
Hi All
