Can anyone online give me some ideas on where to purchase a 250 to 300 gal container I can use for my fish tank?

I found a plastic fish stock pond (320 Gal) for $190 plus shipping. Is that as good as it gets?

I am also looking for economical resources for grow beds. I want to start with a 1:1 ratio on this new system.

i think I posted something regarding this earlier. My methods aren't too pretty though.

I use kmart wading pools 18" deep, 6' and 8' dia, will work as FT (or GB), $7-19 each depending on the season. Some folks like deeper tanks, I don't know why. I have catfish, tilapia, redclaws, Gambusia, Sac perch, and Sac blackfish, all happy in wading pools. I like the large surface area per gallon, better for oxygen transfer in case of pump failure, and circular tanks stay clean if you give the water a little spin and pump from the center.

Personally, I use blue plastic barrels split in half as GBs, tough and free. IBC totes getting harder to find, run about $200 each nowadays locally, not worth it IMO. And I am opinionated, have no doubt.

If you can find a tractor supply you can get rubbermaid stock tanks for a good price and they are sturdy enough to support heavy gravel for grow beds.  The less costly stock tanks might be ok for light weight media but I fear they will bow more than the rubbermaid tanks though they are fine for fish tanks or sump tanks if they are big enough for the type of fish you want.  You may also be able to find some good stock tanks at other farm/feed stores near you.  A 2' deep tank is a bit shallow in my experience and I like at least 300 gallons of water in my climate.

I've seen the IBC for anywhere from $80-200 depending on what was in them and how far you have to drive to get them.  It is actually a pretty good price if you trust what was in them before.

I've not seen blue barrels for free or at least not ones I would use for food and having to plumb so many smaller grow beds kinda adds to the cost in plumbing parts.  If you cut them the long way you nee to build pretty good supports for them to keep em from bowing, if they are cut round the middle you get less planting surface but they don't require as much extra support.
