Hi SZ

yes Sir the worms are red earth worms, compost worms and yes they will live if there is food and oxygen

What kind of worms in the filter are they?
Are they red earth worms you have placed in the filter? can they survive only on fish waste?

Hi All
I opened my worm filter today and scratched to check how the worms are doing.
1000…..of mossy’s……inside...
I have the filter covered with shade cloth and then a layer of lace curtains to keep the mossy’s….. Inside and then other shade cloth layer…keep’s them all inside and still air moving through the filter
Most of the worms are at the bottom and happy
I did this mod today...
I now have water running into the system on all four sides
I want to get rid of dead spots
I have the water flowing and in contact with oxygen on all sides
Yust me thinking

if it's mosquito larva you were seeing, then a mosquito dunk or some other

Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis

Product should be able to stop them.  If it's adult mosquitoes well they won't survive too long I hope.

Hi
The peppers in the system are reaching roof height....good
I am very happy with starting to make and add the lye for potassium...my peppers 100% better
The plant in total looks better......
I added 4-5 litres of my home brew lye per day for a few days and then stopped...
The peppers planted in 5-8mm gravel and in shade net bag...looking good
and the anchorage seem to be good

the peppers reaching the top of struckture

Hi All
just wanted to update the growth of the duckweed......
both trays are full......
the photo was taken from the two ends

Hi TC

Yes there are larva and adult mosquitoes

The adults get trapped and can’t get out...they die in the sump....

So to say the sump is sorted because it stays closed but the rest of system that is open....

in the photo you can see the dead adult mosquitoes flouting

i have added a few 40mm kio in the duckweed trays...hoping they can sort out the larva

i don't  feed these kio they live on duckweed and whatever comes there way....hopefully larva

they are basickly on their own because i can't even see them...

thank's for advice........can you please explain

Here there are products called mosquito dunks that you float in the water and they give off

Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis

which is infective to mosquito larva and kills them.  I've used these in my ap systems where the water is too still and mosquitoes can breed.

Hi

thank's Tc

Hi All

update

I'm happy to see that your duckweed trays under the main trays are working and getting enough sun.
