Looks like a beautiful setting, Robert!  Are you going to get enough light with all those trees and a solid roof?
We have a few other gardens going in full sun. Raised beds outside and a small greenhouse. This spot will be for partial sun and shade loving veggies. It actually gets a lot of morning sun. We will experiment and go with the flow. R.

After much trial and error, this looks like the basic set up:

The beds are river gravel. I may have to find a smaller medium to make it easier to transplant veggies. The plants are rescue attempts from my raised bed.

Here are some experimental (sacrificial) feeder goldfish.

The bottom of the siphon. I followed a few designs and hacked one that works!

Overflow for the fishtank. I drilled a hole in the elbow so it doesn't act as a siphon. I am fortunate that my set up sits on sandy earth, with gravel. Anything that spills or overflows just recharges the aquifer!

We'll see how this goes for a week or so. Water tests normal range. I need to plant more veggies but it is 101 degrees here today! Water temp is 78. Good luck little goldfish!
I selected this spot because the sun gets through here. You can see the sun on the plot where the tank will sit. We'll be cautious about what we plant here.
