Tilapia fingerlings Canadian Aquaponics

Hey Natalie, I don't know of suppliers in Ontario, as I'm from out West, and know of Tilapia in B.C. and Alberta, not sure how the shipping would work. Have you talked with aquarium shops? Never Know!

I've been looking for a breeding pair of Tilapia with little success. I think groups like these are great for sharing resources, contacts, etc...
Eric, do you know of a Tilapia seller in BC?

Yo Darrin, I'm in the Upper Columbia Valley, ( near Radium Hot Springs), and am aware of a local grower with a number of tanks, with tilapia

Lo Darrin, I was trying to figure out how to edit my reply withing the time period, however ------ The grower in question is also wanting to sell all his tanks and equipment, although it is more aquaculture than aquaponics, I have some pictures if it's a matter of interest.

Hey Eric,

I'm not ready for more than a breeding pair right now. I just started gathering materials for the greenhouse but would like to get few Tilapia for our 30 gallon aquarium, the Convicts will have to find a new home!

Lo Darrin - I'll include the link, in talking with them, they are not interested in selling parts and pieces, only the whole setup.
There are some you tube videos of tilapia at the University of Victoria, in case that's an option for you. They may also know if there is anyone closer to you.
