Luckily FL has the benefit of being able to do aquaponics right outdoors without the requirement for greenhouses or heating if you choose the right kind of fish.  I would say 300 gallons is the minimum size fish tank for a single fish tank stand alone system with flood and drain media beds to keep the temperatures from fluctuating too wildly in outdoor Florida weather.
