I am looking to start and grow a Southern Oregon Aquaponics Group. If anyone is interested, please contact me. I am in the startup stages for a system that is being built on my property. I already have my tanks, pumps, and Greenhouse frame. I am still gathering additional equipment I require for the Greenhouse and the Aquaponics System but this project is a go.
My goal is to focus mainly on helping the local Veterans in the area. To help them get back into civilian life and learn a new skill, but I am willing to include any responsible people who wish to learn and to build from this startup into a local community project. We have so much vacant land that can become Aquaponics Facilities to grow and produce food locally, instead of having it trucked into the valley.
I have numerous ideas for making this a very successful operation and training facility. In addition, if anyone wishes to learn about Hobby Bee Ranching, I can assist you with that as well. My primary focus is and will be building Aquaponics Systems and training people in all aspects. This is not a paid position. This is not a job. This is a teaching and learning opportunity for responsible people willing to learn and do the work required.
Please contact me if you are interested. This can go as far as we want it to go.
Cordially,
Bob Rogers aka The White Lion

Hello Bob,
My name is Kevin, and I'm looking at starting some type of aquaponics system. I run a minstry that helps out men who are caught in the bondage of drugs and alcohol abuse. I would love to be able to develop some sort of system that could teach them responsibility and give them skills to help feed them for the rest of their lives.
Thanks,
Kevin
Hello Bob,
Both my wife and I are veterans of the USMC. We are interested in self-sustainment via gardening and aquaponics, however we have no experience with this type of thing and would really enjoy learning to use this skill. Thanks.
Hi Bob,
I'm in the Myrtle Creek area (south of Roseburg) and am in thinking/planning stages now of a small aquaponics setup. I have 1.75 acres to work with and a greenhouse. My background is in the aquarium business, and my partner is an engineer with 30 year's experience growing sprouts and organic vegetables down in Northern California; basically, I'm the wet person and he's the green person. Money is an issue for both of us, but time is not. I'd love to talk more about what you're doing. I know there's a young couple in Central Point, Oregon that has been in business over a year now with an aquaponics setup. They do a CSA and include chickens and eggs, so a full blown farm.
Cheers!
Hello Bob,
Marine Corps veteran here. I've only been in Oregon for about 9 months so far, my wife (also a Marine vet) was born in Medford, and we currently reside in Eagle Point. I guess you could call us preppers, but we're not too hardcore, I mean we don't have an underground bunker or anything, we would just like to be ready in general. Anyhow, I heard about aquaponics and I am very interested in learning about it. We are already in the process of planning out a garden, this sounds like the ideal way to do it though. Would love to hear more about it. Thanks.

Hello Bob,
I'm in the research phase of getting an aquaponics farm going in the Eugene area. I would love to discuss the potentials of viewing your facilities, donating some labor and general networking and info sharing.
Thanks for your time,
Jason Waligoske.
