After my failed attempt to build a classroom system last year, I have decided to give a go again.

Last years system

I had a hard time regulating water, getting it to cycle. Hey it was my first shot.

My new system is using a flush-drain system like the barrel-ponics I built for my home. I used an old TV stand that we were going to get rid of. Here's how is going to work Pump pumps water to the floodtank using a siphon setup it will trigger the flush valve causing the water to flood the grow bed and drain back to the fish tank.

I will keep adding updates as I finish building and begin cycling.

I feel much more prepared, thanks all for all the help!

Hi Robby I have a small aquaponics system I built. It uses a 5 watt pump and a bell siphon to regulate the water in the plant bed. I have 5, 4 tail gold fish and the bell siphon is all I use to add o2 for the fish. I have had it for about 8 months now and it is doing great. I hope you are able to get your system working. Good luck
