less than 24 hrs. after posting my blog post titled smitten by the bug i recieved a comment saying how AP was a hoax.i'll admit you do see a lot of photos where people are growing LOTS of salad greens.but then you also see a lot of pictures of tomatoes, peppers ,okra, melons, beans and the list goes on.looks like to me if you provide a correct nutrient base, lighting, and enviromental coonditions any plant would prosper.comments anyone?

maybe spray them with molasses/soap once a month to keep the population in acceptable numbers
is baconponics a hoax ?
AP is a joke? Really?
Disney uses it in at Epcot in Florida.
Several US Universities are educating graduate students on AP.
Check out U of A in Tucson, the AP Convention will be there this August (2013)
My neighbor's brother-in-law has a 60 hectare AP farm in Mexico powered by "millions" of tilapia
My strawberries, tomatoes and lettuce are the talk of the neighborhood for 3 years now and my beautiful fish pond has gin clear water instead of the green muck I could not control previously...
AP is serious and worthwhile, especially if you care about what you consume.
Randall great looking big green bushy tomato plant. Nice eggplant also. Vlad I'm surprised.
..."looks like to me if you provide a correct nutrient base, lighting, and environmental conditions any plant would prosper..." I think you hit the proverbial nail on the head there Charles... :)
Charles you won't hurt my feeling if you mention me as the one who attempted to help you with your decision about getting into aquaponics. You can continue with your present course or start a system yourself and see what results you get. Then you have a right to bash or as I call it question someone. Remember they there is a difference between stupidity and genius. It's up to you where you want to end up. If you don't know the difference; one has a limit and the other continues on forever. Tom
