Aquapnics questionnaire (exchanging knowledge)

At this moment we are writing on our business case for an indoor (old
factory buildings) Urban Aquaponics company as a part of an Urban
Agriculture Foundation. In a short time we want to set u an test case
to get some hands-on experience .

Unless I have a lot of knowledge about farming (Biodynamic soil based) the Hydroponics and fish is rather new to me. To close these gap
of knowledge I already visit Growing Power and Sweet Water Organics
twice and read al lot of books and info on the internet. In September
of this year I probably be a speaker/ panel member at the

http://www.growingpowerfarmconference.org/

and James Godsill of SWO asked me to be a part or initiator of a panel discussion on Aquaponics.

But in the meanwhile I still have a lot of questions. In Europe
Aquaponics is so small that it is hard to find any good practical
information on this topic.

So I want to ask you all if I can send you a questionnaire about your experiences with your aquaponicssystem.

I will handle your information with care. I only ask you that i can spread the inforamtion to al quastionnaire partcipants, but as part of the questionnaire I will ask participants if they don't mind to publisch it for a broughter audiance (on this blog!)

So feel free to join!
To contact me send an mail to

Best regards,

Well, ask sylvia since she has done a survey using survey monkey and that might be able to help

TCLynx

I understand your question, but this servey is far to big and detailed to put every question (takes a lot of time) on this blog and collect and work on/ with the answers.
So if there is no technical solution on this blog I will ask everyone to e-mail me.
At the end I will write a blogpost on mine conclusions of the survey on this blog.

Well I know that Sylvia, the site creator, has done surveys. Of course people still have the option of contacting you directly since you gave your e-mail address. But the simplest method might be to go to the forum and create a new discussion and ask your questions by number in your first post and then people can read the questions and answer them by number in their own post responses to that discussion. That would not require any special technology or programing and you could do it right now.

Dear all,

I dont know the tenchical possibilities on this community, but i'm willing to put the survey on this community.
But in the survey I have also put the question for proffesional aquaponics farmers if they want to share there knowledge on a community like this.
Sometimes I can understand that they are not willing to schare at some moment in their proces.

So Sylvia.
Is there any technical possibility here?

Hallo Bas Nice to hear about a durtchmen working on Aquaponics. I lived in Holland and now live in Austria for about 15 years. Ihave te same problem that in eutrope it´s Difficult to find some qualitativ goor information. I just started my own project. I used as a basis the Micro Aquaponics system from "friendlyaquaponics" combined with a gravelbed with eartworms in it. I am very Interresting in your Project. Maybe you can give some more information on the set up and /or vision of the Idea. And as Ron or Tc lynx mentioned that would be a good idea I will be pleased to answer.

yes, a direct link to the survey or the questions here would be best.

Perhaps you might post your questions in a forum and people could answer them right there?
